Preview: Our faith can add to us so many Spiritual gifts. Learn what it takes to receive them.

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:1-18.

Memory Verse: Ecclesiastes 12:13.

1. How is it possible to please God without faith? Hebrews 11:6.
2. What, along with faith, is necessary to be saved? James 2:17-18.
Note: Faith is very important, but faith alone is not sufficient. Something must be added to it.
3. What did Peter admonish us to add to our faith? II Peter 1:5-7.
4. What will be the result of adding virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity to our faith? II Peter 1:8.
5. What are the results of not having the seven attributes of righteousness mentioned in the preceding question? II Peter 1:9.
6. What should the scribes and Pharisees have done in addition to paying tithes? Matthew 23:23.
7. What should the five foolish virgins have taken when they went to meet the Bridegroom in addition to lamps? Matthew 25:3-4.
Note: The above Scriptures help us to see that addition (the first step in arithmetic) is just as necessary in Christianity as it is in business and science.
8. When does it become necessary for Christians to subtract things from their lives? Hebrews 12:1-2.
9. When does subtraction take place? Colossians 3:8-9.
10. Who also believed Christians should use subtraction in their lives? I Peter 2:1.
Note: A good teacher doesn’t stop teaching when her students learn to add, she also teaches them to subtract. Likewise, we cannot stop when we add to our lives those things that displease Him.
11. What caused the disciples of Christ to multiply at Jerusalem? Acts 6:7.
12. How is it possible for Christianity to multiply in our day? John 12:32.
13. How did Isaiah describe the feet of those who have an interest in Christian multiplication? Isaiah 52:7.
Note: All students in school must learn how to add and subtract before they learn how to multiply. Likewise, Christians must add to their life the attributes of righteousness and subtract from their lives the attributes of unrighteousness before they attempt to help with Christian multiplication.
14. When does division become necessary in the life of a Christian? II Corinthians 6:16-18.
15. Why is it necessary for Christians to be separated from some people? Revelation 18:4.
16. Why should there be a division between righteousness and darkness? Discuss. II Corinthians 6:14.
Note: Christ is separated from the devil. Christianity is separated from heathenism, and Christian people must be separated from the world now if they want to be separated from the wicked in the day of His wrath.
