Rewards for Good Deeds

Preview: In this lesson, we are told that we need to be generous and kind, doing good deeds unto others in order to receive favor from the Lord.

 

Scripture Reading: Galatians 5:13-26.

 

Memory Verse: Proverbs 28:27.

 

1. How should good deeds be performed? Matthew 6:1-4, Colossians 3:17.

2. How will we be rewarded? Matthew 25:21, I Corinthians 2:9.

3. Who will reward us? Ephesians 6:8, Exodus 23:25.

4. What is the ultimate reward and how do we receive it? Matthew 16:24-27, Revelation 21:3-4, John 3:16.

5. What reward do we receive when we trust God? Jeremiah 17:7-8, Philippians 4:19.

6. How are we rewarded for generosity? Luke 6:38, Proverbs 11:25.

7. Along with works what else do we need to please the Lord? Hebrews 11:6, Romans 1:17, Mark 11:24, James 2:14-18.

Note: We are saved through grace by faith in Jesus and our love of Jesus compels us to do great works in His name. The works themselves are not enough for us to be saved, they need to be done in the Spirit of God to be deserving of His notice, and not for personal recognition or gain.

8. How are we to be as we do the Lord’s work? Colossians 3:23-24, I Corinthians 15:58.

9. How immediate will our rewards be? Galatians 6:9, Esther 6:1-11, I Peter 5:6.
